Op zondag 2 mei verzorgt professor Tony Saich een digitale lezing over Henk Sneevliet, de Nederlandse revolutionair die mede aan de basis stond van de Chinese Communistische Partij, die honderd jaar geleden, op 23 juli 1921, werd opgericht.
Tony Saich is hoogleraar internationale betrekkingen aan Harvard University en directeur van het Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation. In 1991 publiceerde hij een tweedelige bronnenpublicatie over Henk Sneevliets activiteiten in China. In 2020 publiceerde hij Finding Allies and Making Revolution: The Early Years of the Chinese Communist Party.

On Sunday 2 May, at 17:00, professor Tony Saich will give a digital lecture on Henk Sneevliet, the Dutch revolutionary who stood at the basis of the Chinese Communist Party, founded one hundred years ago on 23 July 1921.
Tony Saich is professor of international affairs at Harvard University and Director of the Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation. In 1991 he published a two-volume source publication on Sneevliet’s activities in China and in 2020 a monograph on the early years of the Chinese Communist Party.
